Come Kande was a group show including artists Anita Roney and Emma Johnson together we exhibited our work in an unoccupied flat in Ealing Broadway. We each had our own bedroom/gallery space to show in. Emma Johnson took the toilet where she hung smelly toilet moon babies in place of the toilet freshener in the toilet bowl. I utilised the bathroom to stage a photography shoot and exhibit the images from this shoot titled Venus series . This room was lit under a red light, the bath was filled with the silicone implants used as props for the photographs. The corridor at the entrance to the flat was lit red as well as the bathroom and the bedroom I occupied. Our group shared an interests in the body, so the environment was lit and set up to feel organic and body like. We hung strings of blown up latex gloves at the front door so that visitors had to walk through them to get into the exhibition.

Miss Vagina Head also performed at this exhibition, she was to be seen in the bedroom, surrounded by other sculptures which alluded to the female body and plastic surgery. One piece in particular To be or not to be was shown in this room, this was later developed and shown sepparatly in its own installation, at the Curvacube exhibition.

The name of the exhibition is come naked scrambled, all of our works had refernces to nudity and nakedness. The words Come Kande related to my work in the bathroom which alluded to pornography and men’s magazine pictures of women becoming sexual objects.
